Recently my Aunt Kathy Brooks Halfpenny reconnected with her cousin and my second cousin, Lynn Shepherd Fox, daughter of Bobby and Lula Shepherd (both deceased) of Burlington, NC. Bobby was one of the 9 children of Maggie and Lonnie Shepherd and the youngest boy in the family. I am so very happy to be able to add this photo to our collection which seems to be ever growing.

I know its' been awhile since I've been here - but life happens!
Please enjoy a few new pictures that I have found through my Aunt Kathy Brooks Halfpenny, daughter of Belva Sheppard Brooks and Garland Brooks. We scanned these from her files a year ago and I have many!

September is around the corner!
Hello to all my Brooks/Shepherd/Terrell relatives!
Whether you comment or not is not important! I really just want this to be a place to remember the good times we have all had together in this large, ever growing family. So much has happened in all of our lives and keeping up is very difficult. I really can only post about the things I have heard, experienced or see on another relative's blog/facebook/etc.
Please enjoy this little photo update of my dear departed Aunt Peggy Brooks Moore (William) and some animals who have walked in and out of her life. Also I have a collage of my parents, Bill and Jeanne Diffee. I am so fortunate to still have my Mom, Jeanne very much in my life. She is in pretty good health, can get around very well with only the use of a cane - stands upright, straighter than me!
Many thanks to my Aunt Katherine Brooks Halfpenny for her many hours of searching for old pics in her own records and uploading them to me.
Please do let me know if you have some pictures or stories to tell about your experiences as a member of this large family of great people!

Peggy and Ronnie
Peggy Brooks Moore left our world to be with her maker in the September of her years, 2015. Her beloved brother Ronnie Brooks also left our world in May of 2015. Gone too soon but both are in heaven with their beloved parents and siblings for sure. Here are a few pictures of them from my records - thanks to other family members (Kathy Brooks Halfpenny) and my Mom, Jeanne Brooks Diffee's pictures. We can't believe they are gone - and so suddenly for my dear Aunt Peggy. Forever in our hearts...
Peggy is in the middle, between Jeanne on the left and Catherine on the right. Catherine is the youngest of the Brooks clan.
Ron and his lovely wife, Linda and the bottom picture is of course, Peggy - that beautiful smile, in her kitchen on Hyde Street, Burlington.
